Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
ENCO can arrange for a local Domestic Energy Assessor ( DEA ) to complete an energy survey on your home, this involves taking measurements and some photographs. The DEA will check the boiler, loft and wall insulation, lighting, windows and the building fabric. Any energy saving measures that have been implemented are noted. An Energy Performance Certificate is then produced which will form part of the Estate Agents sales brochure. The property will be awarded an energy efficiency rating, similar to that of a fridge/freezer (A – G). The higher the rating, the more energy efficient the home is and the lower the fuel bills will be. The EPC will also suggest energy efficiency improvements which, if followed could save hundreds of pounds every year in energy costs and reduce CO2 emmisions. All data collected is covered under the Data Protection Act 1998.
